2. The American Sewing Guild is a volunteer, non-profit organization. Members are encouraged to become actively involved in planning programs, events, newsletters, etc., by serving on one or more of the Advisory Board Committees. If you would like to share your expertise and help shape the future of our Chapter, indicate which committees interest you, and the committee chair will contact you.

Neighborhood Group Committee - help form new NGs and work with existing groups
Publicity Committee - help coordinate press coverage for Chapter events
Retail Liaison Committee - help keep retailers in the community informed of Chapter events
Newsletter Committee - help coordinate each issue of Sew & Tell (e.g., edit articles, write a column, contact retailers and NG coordinators  for information)
Hospitality Committee - welcome new members; act as hostess at Chapter events
Membership Committee - work with NG leaders to help new members join NGs; help with membership retention
Community Service Committee - help coordinate community service activities and identify special needs
